A Beating Retreat at Warwick School

A Beating Retreat by The Minden Band of the Queen's Division is being held in the grounds of Warwick School on Wednesday 6th July 2011.

The Drummers from the Band of 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron Air Training Corps will be playing from 6.15pm and will be followed by the Minden Band who will Beat Retreat.

There will be a static display of infantry weapons provided by members of the First Fusiliers commencing at 5.45pm.

The Minden Band is made up of 35 talented musicians with the primary task to support the Regiment's of the Queen's Division. It does this in the following two ways: Troop Morale Support whereby the band entertains troops at home and on operational tours and Peace Support Operations.

The Band is in much demand with recent tours to: Cyprus, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. The Minden Band is conducted by Major Bruce Miller, and appears by kind permission of General Sir John McColl KCB CBE DSO
