Air Cadets Run for Sports Relief

Air Cadets from 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron rose to the Sports Relief Challenge on Sunday 21 st March when they joined hundreds of other runners of all ages taking part in the charity event at the Pingles Leisure Centre in Nuneaton .

Most of the cadets had opted to take part in the three mile run on the track whilst several others took on the more challenging six mile run.

But whichever course the youngsters were running, they where all in it to have fun and raise money for Sports Relief thus helping to make a world of difference to people living really tough lives, both in the UK and the world's poorest countries.

Cadet Corporal Grant Roby who organised the Air Cadet team's entry into the Sports Relief Challenge run said, “The cadets were determined to do something for Sports Relief 2010 and I think they've all enjoyed taking part. We have all been busy collecting sponsors but we don't know exactly how much we've collected yet but whatever the final total we will be sure that every penny will help to improve life for someone less fortunate than ourselves.”
