The game was a close fought semi final to determine a place in the final of the Warwickshire & Birmingham Cup.

During the first half Warwick had almost all the possession and had a number of shots which were only stopped by outstanding saves from the Castle Vale team. Warwick & Leamington team went ahead in the first half after Cdt Dorsett latched onto a cross from Cdt peake. Closing minutes of the game saw Castle Vale equalise.

Extra time saw great play from both teams but Warwick & Leamington excelled and scored the clinching goal, resulting in a 2 – 1 game.
