This week saw the the Air Cadets from 1368 Squadron Warwick & Leamington Spa Squadron receive their annual awards at a presentation evening held at Warwick Racecourse.
The VIP guest, Mr Alex Macintosh from The Royal Star & Garter Home presented the numerous awards to the cadets and was overwelmed by the outstanding commitment the young cadets have gave to the community and each other in all the Air Cadet activities throughout 2006 and hoped that it continues into 2007 in the time old tradition of 1368.
Awards presented were all in recognition of outstanding efforts in areas of drill, community service, adventure training, most improved cadet and many more.
The evening also saw Sgt Griffin being promoted to Flight Sergeant and Cdt peake becoming a Junior Non Commissioned Officer.
Civilian staff instructor, Jason Evans received his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award from Sqn Ldr Coates. The award is highly prestigious and Jason has spent many hours in the community and out on expeditions in Wales which has all contributed to him acheving this honour in what is the 50th Anniverasry of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
