Swimming Success for Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing

Cadet Rachel SabinAir Cadets from Warwickshire & Birmingham wing descended on the RAF College Cranwell over the weekend to compete against 5 other regional areas which include Herts & Bucks, Beds & Cambs, Norfolk & Suffolk, Trent and south & East Midlands in the Annual Regional Swimming Competition.

Cadet Rachel Sabin from 1368 Warwick and Leamington Squadron took
part in her first regional event and was successful in a myriad of medals which include the 50m backstroke and 100m individual medley.

Squadron Leader Pat McCarroll Wing Sports Officer said ‘I’m very happy with the effort the cadets put in this year but unfortunately the competition was at an extremely high standard and we only achieved 6 th in the region and with our heads held high we look forward to next years competition’.
