Birmingham Armed Forces Day

Cadets from 2 Squadrons, 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) and1459 (Heart Of England ) from Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing took part in Birmingham Armed Forces Day celebrations in magnificent Chamberlain Square and Victoria Square .

The Air Cadets showcased what it has to offer and was part of a wonderful spectacle which hosted several Military displays from 202 Field Hospital, Anderson Shelter Experience and the Brent Gun display which will commemorate the 70 th Anniversary of the Blitz.

Cadets had the opportunity to meet dignities such as the Birmingham Lord Mayor, Military heroes and Sir Admiral Soar.

Jack Courtney,14, a new cadet with the Squadron said I had great honour supporting the troops, the day has been great fun to take part in' .
