Cadets from 1459 Heart of England Squadron were recently presented with Bronze & Silver D of E awards By Wing Commander Ladwa, OC Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing.

A total of 6 Cadets obtained Bronze Awards, and 3 with Silver.  The 3 silver's , Cpl J Allen, Cpl S Quinn & Cdt "Legs" I Johnston will be attending the Wing Gold D of E Camp at Llanbedr this August with Cpl R Faulkner & Sgt J Egan, making a total of 5 Cdts going for Gold Expedition this year.

All this is in addition to ex-cdt Sgt Jade Hardy recently being awarded her Gold Award, making her the first Cdt to obtain a Gold on the Squadron since 1997.  The Bronzes are also not resting on their laurels, with a Squadron combined Bronze/Silver actual expedition later this month.  Many thanks are due to Fg Off H Hart for publicising the scheme on the Squadron and persuading the Cadets to take part.
