Cadet Sergeant Enya Tabram achieves another milestone
in her cadet career

Cadet Sergeant Enya Tabram of No 163 (Coventry-Phoenix) Sqn has achieved another milestone in her Cadet career.

The venue for this achievement would be RAF Weston-on-the-Green, Bicester, Oxfordshire when after three successive years of trying to attend one of Headquarters Air Cadets fiercely contested for Parachute Courses, Cadet Flight Sergeant Tabram's sheer determination was to pay off with the award of a place on course PC/11, held between 1 to 5 May 2011.

The receipt of the news that a place was finally hers was met with great excitement as it meant that Cadet Flight Sergeant Tabram was able to do something that she had set her mind on undertaking.

With all the preparations in place and the kit that she would require assembled, it wasn't long before Cadet Flight Sergeant Tabram was bound for the training area, where she would be instructed on usage of the equipment as well as on all the procedures required for making a safe decent by parachute.

Following classroom and practical tranining, made better by ideal weather conditions, the day soon dawned for Cadet Flight Sergeant Tabram to take to the sky and put all the hours of training into practice for a jump out of one of the schools aircraft, which was successfully and very enjoyably achieved.

On her return to the Squadron, when asked how the course went, Cadet Flight Sergeant Tabram said; “this is one of the best things that I have done in the ATC”.

Flight Lieutenant Les Vile RAFVR(T), Officer Commanding No 163 (Coventry-Phoenix) Sqn said; “we encourage all our cadets to get as much out of The Air Training Corps as possible. Sometimes it can take a couple of applications before places are achieved on such courses and we always try to ensure that the cadets keep to the ethos of never giving up.”

He continued by saying, “the award of this place has been richly deserved by Cadet Flight Sergeant Enya Tabram. The dedication and commitment that she puts into everything that she does is truly inspirational and she is a credit to herself, her parents, the squadron and The Corps.”
