Air Cadets from three local units assisted the Royal Air Force Presentation Team at the Jaguar Cars Visitor Centre on the evenings of 12 th , 13 th and 14 th May.
The Presentational Team tour the whole of the United Kingdom demonstrating to the public the working of the RAF and the way forward for the RAF, especially under the current financial situation
A team of four RAF personnel, under the leadership of Wing Commander Simon Firth, assisted by Flight Lieutenant Charlie Pushman, Warrant Officer Roy Woodruff and SAC James Davey, put on a display to over 100 people on each night highlighting the different aircraft that the RAF use as well as reminding people of the various operational theatres where the RAF are in action.
The evenings attracted a wide range of people including senior Police Officers, Senior Fire Officers, Local Councillors and many local people.
The Presentation Team were assisted by the Air Cadets from 165 (Castle Bromwich) Squadron, 487 (Erdington) Detached Flight and 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron all co-ordinated by Flight Lieutenant James Martin, Officer Commanding 165 Squadron. A special visit was made by the band of 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron to cover for the RAF band that was unable to entertain the audience on Wednesday evening.
