CWO Tom Jackson of 198 ( Hinckley ) Sqn ATC was pleased to be awarded one of the first CVQO Led ILM Level 2 Awards in Team Leading at Dartmouth Naval College recently.  

Little did he know that a former CO of 198 Squadron who emigrated to the USA in 2003, Major Andy Sumner of the United States Civil Air Patrol, was visiting his old Squadron on a BTEC Training evening and that there was a further coincidence... Major Sumner works in the security department of Dartmouth College New Hampshire . 

The picture shows Major Sumner in CAP uniform congratulating CWO Jackson on his achievement  and showing his Dartmouth Shield badge with current CO Flt Lt Chris Parry. 

Tom Jackson is also about to complete his BTEC First Diploma in Public Services and was working hard on his Unit 1 Project, under the guidance of his CVQO Operations Manager, when he was interrupted for this unique photo opportunity.
