Around 40 Cadets from 198 Squadron recently held a fun night to raise money for Children In Need 2011. A fancy dress, three legged walk was held around the local Clarendon Park in Hinckley . The walk, around a mile round the park, involved teams of two, with legs tied together, in an attempt to get round as fast as possible and to raise as much money for Children In Need as they can. This was done by sponsorship rather than public collection. A superb night was had by all with the Cadets raising a massive £1016.68 for Pudsey.
Sergeant Emma Hibbitt, who organised the night, said ‘we wanted to do something different to raise more than last time, we raised around £350 last year and I was totally surprised that this year we raised over £1000!'
Let's see what happens this year...
