2028 Squadron Present 1000 hours MV Certificates

On Thursday the 20 th November and Thursday the 7 th December 2006 both Staff and Cadets from 2028 Southam Squadron were presented on Parade with 1000 hour Millennium Volunteer Certificates by the Squadron Commander Flight Daryll Lieutenant Moreton.

The M V Certificates were awarded to Pilot Officer Keith Hicks, C.I. Robert Foster, Cadet Flight Sergeant Instructor Philip Tait and Ex. Cadet Warrant Officer Instructor Roger Teverson.

These Certificates are unique in that they recognise a considerable amount of time spent with the Air Training Corps both on regular Parades and other activities such as weekends away and Community involvement. They are a great achievement and are justly deserved by all concerned

Also on Thursday the 7th December 2006 the C.O. had the pleasure to present another 2028 Squadron Cadet with his Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Certificate and badge. The award on this occasion went to Cadet Sergeant Instructor Peter Welby who received his Silver D of E.

Flight Lieutenant Moreton remarked afterwards, “Once again I had the pleasure to present Awards to not only my Cadets but also members of Staff. These awards reflect their time and dedication put into the Squadron. It was also an opportunity to present another D of E Certificate, on this occasion a Silver Award.”
