More achievement for 2028 Squadron and an Adult too!

On Monday the 28 th February 2011 the CO of 2028 Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Moreton, presented a number of Classification Certificates and Badges to his Cadets. One Cadet also received his Level 2 BTEC from the CO and Sgt Wildman was surprised to receive his Adult Staff SNCO Certificate.

Each Cadet was called forward on final parade to receive their Leading, Senior and Master Air Cadet Certificates and Badges. These presentations represent the results of recent Classification Examinations taken by Cadets from 2028 Squadron which demonstrated to the younger Cadets on the parade what can be achieved by study and showed them how they can move up the ladder of success in the Air Cadets by hard work and dedication.

One Senior Cadet was lucky enough to receive his Master Air Cadet Badge and his BTEC.

The second photograph shows Adult Sergeant Wildman with his Certificate which had taken a while to come through but making his presentation in front of the Cadets showed them that the staff receive awards as well and have to attend courses to develop themselves within the Corps.

There are more awards to be handed out in the near future, D of E and Annual Squadron presentations but these will be made at a formal event in the next few months in front of the parents and invited guests.

Flight Lieutenant Moreton remarked, “Making presentations in front of the whole Squadron is extremely important so that everyone can see what can be achieved within the ATC and how we reward hard work. It is also sends a clear message that the Cadets are the most important asset within my Squadron, it is them that we recognise and it is they that we should applaud. Their success is the Squadron's success and that is all that matters.”
