On Thursday the 10th December 2009 36 Cadets and 9 Staff from 2028 Southam Squadron held a Ten-Pin Bowling and Pizza party in Coventry to celebrate the end of a very successful year.

The Cadets were picked up from Southam by Flight Lieutenant Moreton and WO Storer-Rogers in two minibuses and transported to the Bowl in Coventry , ably supported by CI Conran-Brown in her car. The rest of the staff joined in at the Bowling Alley.

Flight Lieutenant Moreton had asked all the Cadets to attend in fancy dress and they did not let him down! Even some of the staff entered into the spirit!

Everyone enjoyed two games of bowling before moving across to the Pizza Hut. The staff at the restaurant were very understanding, bearing in mind they were invaded by Superman, a Monkey and a very strange 'flower-seller' amongst others!

Flight Lieutenant Moreton, CO of 2028 Squadron, commented after the meal,” The Squadron has had a very successful year and tonight was a way of letting everyone let their hair down and have a great time. The Cadets really entered into the spirit of the party, something they have repeated time and time again throughout the year with the events we have organised. I have a great bunch of young people at Southam and some very supportive parents. I am proud of each and every one of them."
