On Monday the 27th September 2010 Cadets and Staff from 2028 Squadron went Ten Pin Bowling in Coventry . Everyone enjoyed two games of bowling and a meal afterwards. Some of the Cadets also took time to play on the many games which are set out behind the bowling lanes. Unfortunately the Laser Quest area was closed for refurbishment much to the Cadets disappointment, leaving no opportunity to show the Staff how to ‘shoot' and ‘hit' a target, usually a member of Staff!

This was a great opportunity for the Staff and Cadets to relax together and have some fun after what has been a busy few weekends recently for 2028 Squadron, culminating in the Air Show at Coventry Airport on the 26th and the Squadron Open Day on the 25th September, 2010 .

Although there were only 21 Cadets and 4 members of staff, everyone remembered that most of the senior Cadets had to work to compensate for the time they had given to the Squadron during the recent weekends.

The CO of 2028 Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Moreton, commented after the event, "These are ideal opportunities for everyone to relax and have fun; I am a great believer that when the Cadets put in so much hard work they should also get the opportunity to have fun together. We have a strong group of Cadets at Southam and their bond is clear for all to see on these occasions when everyone can let their hair down for a few hours."
