Warwickshire County Council provides
much needed computer equipment to local Squadron.

On Thursday the 26th April 2007 2028 (Southam) Squadron took delivery of a Desk Top Computer, comprising of a PC, Hard Drive, Keyboard, Mouse, cables and internal Modem. The equipment had been provided by Warwickshire County Council Community Computers 2006/2007 Fund. There is also software on the hard drive to allow basic activities on the PC with more software to come.

Mrs Lynda Scriven , 2028 Squadron's Civilian Committee Secretary, had received a letter on the 11th December 2006 offering the opportunity for the Squadron to apply for a computer, "free to Voluntary Organisations," so she immediately made an application.

On the 22nd March 2007 information was received from WCC confirming the award of a Computer to 2028 Southam Squadron.

Mrs Scriven said on delivery, "Warwickshire County Council is eager to help Youth Organisations and I saw a real opportunity for us to upgrade the Computer equipment we gave on the Squadron, I am delighted both for the Cadets and the Staff that we have been successful in our bid."

Flight Lieutenant Moreton, the Squadron Commander, commented, "This is yet another example of how our Civilian Committee are 100% behind everything we do for the Cadets, this Computer will allow us to dispose of one which has become very unreliable, I am so grateful to Warwickshire County Council for their support."
