Good Luck parade for Flt Lt Cox on his detachment to Afghanistan

Flt Lt Matt Cox with Flt Lt Mark AllwoodOn Wednesday 10th September 2008, 2030 Elmdon & Yardley Squadron conducted a parade in honour of ex-cadet Flight Lieutenant Matthew Cox RAF, who is about to go on deployment to Afghanistan for 5 months as the Assistant Defence Attache in the British Embassy in Kabul . 

Flt Lt Cox, currently serving as a Supply Officer in the Royal Air Force, based at RAF Brize Norton returned to the Squadron in 2006 as a Service Instructor, and also assists Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing ATC at its annual Duke of Edinburgh Camps at Llanbedr in North Wales .
 
Commanding Officer of 2030 Sqn, Flt Lt Mark Allwood RAFVR (T) was quoted as saying 'The Sqn wishes Matt all the very best for his detachment and for a speedy and safe return.'
