2030 (Elmdon and Yardley) Squadron had its annual fundraising race night held at the affiliated Knowle branch of the Royal British Legion on Saturday 07 February.

Over one hundred cadets, family members, friends and guests gathered at the Royal British Legion for the night of fun, with the main fundraising being from the races and also a raffle with various prizes, including chocolates, teddy bears, and an angle grinder.

The night consisted of 8 races, with a break in the middle for a bangers & mash dinner, provided by the members of the Royal British Legion.

The total raised on the night was over £1000. The money raised during the evening is for new camping equipment to replace the aging equipment currently in use. The cadets will soon have the benefit of the new equipment when they take part in initial expedition training at Rough Close later this month, and expeditions in the Peak District later in the year.
