R.A.F.A Wings Appeal Sheldon

Cadet Walker and Sgt everett in Sheldon PrecinctCadets from 2030 (Elmdon & Yardley) SQN gave up the their day to collect for wings appeal. Following the success of the sponsored walk, cadets were on duty again on the weekend doing street collections for the Royal Air Force Association Wings Appeal.

Cadets were stationed at the Sheldon shopping precinct and outside the nearby Aldi store, the day was quiet for the cadets collecting at the shopping area, whilst Aldi was very busy. Thanks go to the manager of Aldi for giving permission to collect outside the store.

The amount of money raised is yet to be counted, and will add to the total contribution from 2030 Squadrons recent efforts to raise money for the RAFA (Yardley & District) Wings Appeal. As the weather was nice and warm the day was perfect.
