Members from Sheldon Royal Air Force Association Branch and 2030 (Elmdon and Yardley) Sqn gave up their Sunday morning to complete a sponsored walk.
The event was in aid of the Wings Appeal that helps support those ex and serving members of the Royal Air Force during ill health.
In good weather the cadets walked the perimeter of Birmingham International Airport enjoying great views of aircraft taking off and landing as they went.
The half way point was at Hatchford Brook golf course where staff kept the cadets topped up with squash.
The walk finished with a barbecue at the Sheldon RAFA branch and whilst everyone tucked into their burgers organisers worked out that they'd raised over £500 for the charity.
Also on the walk was Flt Lt Matthew Cox RAF, he said: " What a fantastic way for two great organisations to be together and great cause to be raising funds for ."
