2286 Squadron Cadets (Sgt Connoll, Cpl Colby, Cdt Dickinson, Cdt Connoll, Cdt Bradbury and Cdt Meyrick) are celebrating their success after successfully qualifying as VHF/UHF Provisional Radio operators.

The cadets followed a course on the Squadron which was mixture of classroom and outdoor practical activities. They have learnt to use call signs, the meaning of prowords, how to pass short and long messages and how to authenticate amongst other things. They will all now go on to the training course for VHF/UHF Full Radio operator and they can’t wait! “Great to be able to do this, Full Radio Operator...bring it on!” said Cdt Dickinson.
