On Sunday the 14th November 2010 forty five Cadets and Staff from 29F (Rugby) Squadron joined members of the British Legion, other Armed Services and civil authorities at the Annual Remembrance Day Parade, held at the War Memorial in Rugby .
The service was led by the Town Mayor, Don Williams, and conducted by Rev. Mark Beech of St.Andrews Church, Rugby, with local councilors and representatives of the town's youth organisations. The largest uniformed contingent was 29F Squadron under the command of Flt.Lt. Roger Smith.
A wreath was laid during the service on behalf of the ATC and the two minute silence observed. The event was as relevant and poignant as ever this year, as young men and women serving in our Armed Forces continue to put their lives on the line in Afghanistan , and this was reflected by a crowd of over 1,000 people who stood at the memorial gates.
After the service the Cadets formed up for the traditional march past, with the Mayor taking the salute. Young and old servicemen and Cadets received a spontaneous round of applause from the assembled crowd, before the Cadets continued back to the TA Centre in Rugby.
