Thursday 15 th September was a night of change at 485 (Harborne and Quinton) Sqn. The Sqn was saying goodbye to one Sgt, and a temporary goodbye to a FS.

Many sqn's will be losing some of their senior cadets at this time of year as they pack their bags and head off to university, and 485 Sqn is no different. It was the last night for Sgt Kyle Morel who is sadly leaving the Sqn to go to Glamorgan University. Luckily for the ATC he won't be leaving the organisation however, he's hoping to transfer to a Sqn in Cardiff . Sgt Morel finished his time at 485 Sqn by completing his CMOI course and he passed with flying colours.

FS Adam Campbell is temporarily leaving the Sqn as he also goes off to university, however, because his university is closer, he is hoping to come back to the Sqn at least once a month.

On the final parade Fg Off Simon Jennings was promoted to Flt Lt and became officer commanding of the Sqn.

Flt Lt Jennings commented “Although I've only been at the sqn a few months, I have really enjoyed working with FS Campbell and Sgt Morel. I wish them all the best for the future, I know that both of them want to join the RAF in the future and I'm sure they will both reach great heights! We will also lose Sgt Seymour on Thursday 22 nd September, although again she is looking to come back to the sqn as and when she can. When senior cadets leave the Sqn it is an opportunity for others to move up the promotional ladder, we have some exciting times ahead”
