| On Sunday 3 rd August, 5 cadets and Plt Off Jennings travelled from the Sqn Headquarters in Kingstanding to RAF Cosford to fly with 8 AEF. These were extra flying slots and the Sqn was only too happy to take up the offer.
When we arrived at Cosford only a total of nine cadets were due to fly, so Plt Off Jennings, and two other staff members were able to fly as well.
All the cadets, for some unknown reason, wanted to complete as many aerobatic's as they could, so the pilot's vision of a nice quiet Sunday was shattered immediately. Cpl Rigby came back with tales of completing every aerobatic manoeuvre in the book, the Red Arrows had better watch out.
Cdt Kirby was the only cadet taking part in his first flight, and he too enjoyed the whole experience, including turning the aircraft upside down.
Pilot Off Jennings flight was a bit more sedate, a chance to try some proper flying for once, he now knows what the trim does anyway! However, his normal bank to the right turned into a scene from the Battle of Britain, Tutor's can peel off like a spitfire.
All had a fantastic and safe day and all are looking forward to their next flight.
