On Saturday 19 th July, 4 cadets from 487 Sqn, Kingstanding and Perry Barr, and Plt Off Jennings, travelled to 632 VGS at RAF Ternhill to take part in a GIC programme. 633 VGS from RAF Cosford moved from their normal base to Ternhill for the day, and once we had found the way into the station, all had a good day!

632 VGS has won the trophy for best VGS over the past two years and it has to be said that their facilities are excellent, both for the cadets and the staff!

Again, due to weather conditions, the flying was very challenging during the day with strong winds and rain been interspersed with bright periods of sunshine, we had it all!

All the cadets managed to get up during the day and complete their various GIC's.

Thanks go to Sqn Ldr Tisley who had worked hard to get the Wing places at RAF Ternhill, it was certainly appreciated by all the cadets and staff of 487 Sqn.
