Smiles all round for Cadet Flight Sergeant Jake Bett (17) and Cadet Savanna Palmer (13), after gaining Silver medal for Jake in the Class C (Junior Men), and Gold medal for Savanna in the Class D (Junior Girls).

This was a tremendous achievement for the detached flight. Though Jake has ran this course before, relatively new cadet Savanna, was that good she was well ahead at a very early stage in the race, that she thought she had finished after one lap. Pointing out the error with helpful staff, she was soon on her way round again, to finish well ahead in first place. Laughing she said at the end, “It was very lonely out there in the lead, not quite sure knowing where to go", thankfully for team marshals out there to lead the way!
