On Sunday 12th of July the DF was invited to put on a stand at Tesco's first ever community fun day. The store manager thanked and welcomed the unit for coming to the first one they had ever run. Sergeant Mark Berry together with cadets, S. Palmer, S Farnsworth, L Brittle, J Rana, Z Islam, J Fyfe & j Williams attended.

The stand was put up together with the ATC backdrop, and numerous posters, books, and information of the things to do in the air cadets was on show. A lap top also showing the ATC was there for all to see. Many interested future recruits together with parents visited the stand for more information. The “Air Cadets” always has something to show and gain local interest. Even if we don't get any new recruits, we certainly showed that we existed within the area, which is good for all.
