This summer the cadets at 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron have been having various taster sessions in new and exciting sports, this month the Squadron have had the Kings Heath Archers visit.

The archers demonstrated to the Cadets the traditional sport with new advances in bow & arrow technology. After a demonstration the Cadets took the helm with a bow and arrow, taking it in turns to perfect the ‘Ye Old' Sport.

Officer Commanding Jo Coles, 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Sqn said ‘I'm a firm believer of sport for all and this taster session has allowed the youngsters from 489 Sqn to open there minds to new sports available to them in the local community'.
