This weekend 10 Cadets from 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award in and around the Southam area, Warwickshire.

For 5 of the Cadets this was their first 2 day expedition for which the Warwickshire countryside tested their ability in navigational team work and team building skills. For 2 days the Cadets were self-sufficient with food and water, carrying everything they would need to survive.

Cadet Daniel Layton, 14 said ‘ It was a great 2 days with great countryside, however it was demanding for my first time. I can't wait to do it all again… '
