Exercise Scuttlebutt dominated this summer's August Bank Holiday for Squadrons from across Warwickshire & Birmingham.
Exercise Scuttlebutt was attended by Squadrons from across the region providing a team of Cadets to take part in a competition focusing on fieldcraft, survival, team work and leadership skills.
The weekend allowed cadets to engage in clay range shooting, indoor range shooting and military demonstrations from 2 serving members from the Grenadiar Guards.
The competition provided team spirit and a very close race between all of the Squadrons taking part. But as always there could be only 1 winner and the winners trophy was presented 29f ( Rugby ) Squadron closely followed by 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron whom took to the challenges with ease and good spirit.
Flt Lt Jo Coles OC 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Sqn & Exercise Commander for Exercise Scuttlebutt said ‘The weekend was a complete success, the cadets have enjoyed all the activities and I must thank all the staff for their hard work and commitment over the weekend'.
