492 (Solihull) Squadron Air Cadets raised over £700 for the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association (BLESMA) by pulling a 73 tonne RAF VC10.
They competed against RAF and Police teams of 20 from across the country at RAF Brize Norton. The event was the 3rd annual Birmingham Airport Police Charity Day with a target of £20,000 towards a skiing trip for military amputies, helping with their physio rehab and also rebuilding their confidence.
Flt Lt Elliot Hemes said, "It was a bit of a shock when we arrived and were told the 34 tonne C-130 was unavailable! The team really had to put in an awesome effort just to get the VC10 moving. I was extremely proud of them. We all had a superb day."
