| Members of the 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron band recently provided the entertainment at a local Opening Ceremony.
The event took place to commemorate the official opening of four refurbished Alms Houses. The houses are owned and managed by The Sutton Municipal Charities and have undergone extensive refurbishment. The houses were opened jointly by The Lord Mayor of Birmingham and His Reverence The Bishop of Birmingham.
The band provided music as the honoured guests and trustees gathered for the ceremony. After the houses were officially opened the band provided background music for a tea party held in the grounds of the Alms Houses.
Clerk to the Trustees Mr Ernie Murray said " Its wonderful that the cadets could turn out today and provide us with some music, everyone here has commented on how smart the cadets are and the fantastic job they have done."
