On Sat 21st February 2010 eight cadets of 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron attended 633 VGS at DCAE Cosford.

Due to the recent snowy weather it was touch and go as to whether the visit for an allocation of Gliding Induction Level 1 Certificates would go ahead. All eight cadets had never flown in gliders prior to the visit and all were excited at the prospect.

The cadets thoroughly enjoyed the their time in the air and are looking forward to completing their GIC level 2. The cadets were presented with their certificates on the following parade night by Flt Lt Nick Upton, Officer Commanding 495 Sqn.

Flt Lt Upton said " It is a great pleasure to give out these certificates, I think its the first time I have ever done so many in one go. Well done! "
