Former Cadet Sergeant Daniel Griffiths from 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron, went to be presented to the Duke of Edinburgh in the Picture Gallery at St Jame's Palace.

After speaking with His Royal Highness, Daniel was awarded with his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Certificate by Chris Hollins the well known BBC Sports presenter on breakfast TV.

Daniel achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards whilst being a member of 495 Sutton Coldfield Squadron. In achieving the awards, he undertook many tasks, learnt several skills including aeronautics and musical ability. Working in a team environment, he made many friends and thoroughly enjoyed his share of adventures to overcome any adversity.
