Out in Force for Poppy Appeal



 

Cadets from 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron were out in force in Sutton Coldfield town centre and at Asda Superstore, Minworth collecting for the Poppy Appeal.

28 cadets and 4 staff spent all day at both venues. Despite a somewhat cold and chilly day the cadets did themselves proud. They are hoping to increase upon last years total raised.

Flt Lt Nick Upton, Officer Commanding 495 Sqn said "It is very pleasing to see so many cadets getting involved in such a worthwhile cause, I think its important that we all remember the importance of the Poppy Appeal "

 

 

 


495 Squadron lead Sutton Coldfield Remembrance Parade

Cadets from 495 (Sutton Coldfield) Squadron band were proud to once again lead the Sutton Coldfield Remembrance Parade.

48 cadets and 7 staff took part in the parade and church service, making 495 Squadron the largest uniformed contingent on parade. After the church service and march back to the war memorial Flt Lt Upton, OC 495 Squadron laid a wreath on behalf of the Air Cadets.

Once again the squadron was honoured to parade the Sutton Coldfield RAFA standard alongside the Squadrons own standard.
