Firstly a huge thanks to the Civilian Committee for the money to purchase the squadrons first brand new football kit. Sgt Wright who is instrumental in the squadrons sporting activities was delighted to see the kit arrive, commenting “we better win these matches now we look the part"

Well, the squadron travelled to Woodbrush High School in Hollywood on Sunday the 15th January 2012. The team played well together for the second round match and finished with a excellent 4-2 winning score against 485 squadron.

Sgt Wright was over the moon with the determination and hard work the squadron put into the match.

Flight Lieutenant Glyn Slade OIC 496 Squadron said "I was delighted with the outcome and I cannot wait for the next match and ultimately the finals".
