497 (Daventry) Squadron recently enjoyed a visit from the RAF Careers Office at Leicester. One of the cadets present, Cpl John describes the night

“To start off with, we did some team exercises, for example we had to cross the room without touching the floor using a variety of strange equipment. After that, we watched a DVD about what the RAF do on a day to day basis. Then the RAF Careers Representative talked to us about their accommodation, their food, the chance to travel, and he also talked about the opportunities there are. I think that the night went really well because we did a lot of good and exciting things, as well as learning about the RAF”.

Commanding Officer Flt Lt Barry Broom thanked the Careers Office for putting in the time to visit 497 Squadron and for providing information packs for any cadets interested in joining or finding out about the RAF.
