Cadet Warrant Officer Tessa Hegerty has had a very busy year. It all started with the capture of the Best Drill NCO and Drill Team winner at Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing Training Day June 2005. She then went on to represent the wing at region winning the Best Drill NCO Central and East Region.
Having already completed her gliding scholarship and her millennium volunteer award, she is now on the final stages of her Gold Duke of Edinburgh. She has also represented the wing in hockey for the past four years.
Being promoted to Cadet Warrant Officer on 84 (Coventry Airport) Squadron was also a first as she is the first female on the squadron to be promoted to rank of CWO.
Officer in Charge Flt Lt Spencer Davies said “Tessa has worked very hard knowing how busy she has been this year. I have no doubt that she will be very successful in her future is she carries on with enthusiasm and effort that she applies.”
She now has her sights set on being commissioned into the RAFVT(T) and completing her nursing degree at Coventry University.
