Cadets from 8F (1 st City of Coventry) Squadron, Air Training Corps were out in force cleaning cars to raise squadron funds.
Thanks to B & Q Warehouse in Binley, Coventry. The cadets were given the opportunity to raise funds with a charity car wash at the store.
The store which was re-opening after a major refurbishment, offered the squadron the fundraising opportunity to coincide with the launch of it’s new look.
Customers at the store were able to put their vehicles through the car wash and make a donation to the squadron.
The cadets were ready to go with their buckets and sponges kindly donated by the store for the job and worked tirelessly for six full hours raising a fantastic £435.
Flying Officer Amanda Sinfield, OiC 8F Squadron said ‘The cadets have worked extremely hard and we are grateful to B & Q for the opportunity to raise much needed funds. These will allow us to upkeep the Squadron minibus which is essential in transporting the cadets to activities such as flying, gliding & adventure training’ |
