On Saturday 26 th February the Squadron Commanders and Wing Staff Officers of Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing held their annual CO's Conference at DCAE Cosford.

The conference hosted by Wing Commander Pravin Ladwa Officer Commanding Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing is an annual forum in which Squadron Commanders and Wing Staff get together to discuss a wide variety of subjects covering cadet training and administrative matters.

As well as the serious business of wing staff officers delivering annual reports and presentations relating to the latest Wing and ACO policy changes Wg Cdr Ladwa also made two presentations.

Fg Off Hutchinson-Collier of 1289 ( Stratford-Upon-Avon ) Squadron received the Cadet Forces Medal (CFM) in recognition of her long and devoted service to the cadet forces.

489 (Acocks Green & Olton) squadron received a Wing Media Communications Quality Award for their article ‘ Poppy Appeal cadets net a winner at Villa Park' written by Cpl Simon Watson RAF which reached the final nominations at the 2010 HQAC National Media and Communications Awards In the Category Best News Article.
