Mess President Sqn Ldr Harrison said “Another successful occasion made all the more so by the presence of our Commandant. It is was also an honour to have three members of the RAF Ex Prisoner of War Association present as when you consider what they went through during the 2 nd World War they are in my opinion the real ‘War Heroes'. I also think it was great to see two ex cadets of 2030 (Elmdon & Yardley) Squadron present Marine Matt Croucher and Fg Off Matt Cox both of whom have joined the regular services. Mention must also be made to the cadets of 495 Squadron's band who played so well during and after dinner and the stewards of 163 Squadron. These cadets gave up their Saturday evening to help out and make the evening even more special”.
