On Saturday April 21 st 2007 the Corps Open-Age Soccer and Hockey Championships took place at DCAE Cosford. Representing Central & East Region in the soccer were 4 cadets from Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing, they were:

• FS Jamaine Donkor - 84 (Coventry Airport) Sqn
• Sgt Dan McCarthy - 492 (Solihull) Sqn.
• Cdt Arron Foxall - 479 (Rubery) Sqn.
• Cdt Kyle Foxall - 479 (Rubery) Sqn.

Representing Central & East Region in the hockey we had 1 cadet from Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing, she was :

• Cdt Flora Markham 1368 (Warwick & Royal Leamington Spa) Sqn

In the Soccer Championships Central & East Region qualified for the final after beating London & South East Region and then Scotland & Northern Ireland Region. In the final the opponents were Wales & West Region and at half-time the score was 2-2. In the second half however thanks to a hat-trick by Jamaine Donkor Central & East Region won the match 6-3 to win the trophy for the first time since 2001.

The girls hockey team, not to be outdone by the boys, also reached their final after beating both London & South East Region and Wales & West Region. In the final they played South West Region in what turned out to be a very close game with neither team managing to score. So the match was decided on Penalty Flicks which Central & East Region won 1-0 to win the trophy.
