The Warwickshire & Birmingham Cross Country team this weekend descended onto RAF College, Cranwell for this years annual Central & East region Cross Country Competetion.
This year saw Cdt Tabram from 163 ( Coventry Phoenix ) Sqn receive her first wing blues and triumph in the Junior Girls race by coming 2 nd beating of over 23 other competitors from across the Central & East Region.
Wing Staff Officer Flt Lt Mumford, Wing Deputy Sports Officer, said ‘ Cdt Tabram showed outstanding effort in the race and this being her first cross country regional event I hope to see her here for years to come.
The Boys also excelled and brought the Wing silver medals home, CWO Stokes ( 8F), FS Milburn (2028) and Cpl Adams (492) competed in the Junior Mens Race and achevied 2 nd place missing out on 1 st by the smallest amount of points.
Cdt Markham from Warwick & Leamington Spa Squadron a 3 rd year region cross country veteran explained ‘ this year has been especially difficult with the bitter cold breeze and the rugged terrain but the Warwickshire & Birmingahm team showed no fear and competed with no fuss’
Overall the day was long and with much enthusiasum for the race and gratiude from the staff for all the outstanding effort showen.
