On Sunday 9th December following the Inter Wing Cross Country championships at RAFC Cranwell, the Central & East Region Commandant, Gp Capt Jon Ford, took great pleasure in presenting a 'Defence Letter of Appreciation' to Sqn Ldr Pat McCarroll, Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing Sports Officer and a member of the supporting staff to the Region sporting team.

The Region Commandant spoke of Pats service to the Corps since he joined in 1959 and his service to both his Wings sporting achievements as well as his efforts in all fields of sport at Region level.
