Wing Inter Squadron Football Competition
We have now reached the Quarter-Final of the above competition the draw for which is shown below. All matches have to be played by 29 th Jan.2012. The first named team being responsible for arranging the pitch the referee and providing the match-ball. Squadrons should also avoid organising matches on Sunday 22nd Jan. which is the date of the Wing Senior Football Trials.

Corps Inter – Region Senior Rugby Competition
The above competition took place on Sat.3 Dec 2011 at DCAE Cosford and 4 cadets from Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing were selected to represent Central & East Region. They were:
- FS Callum Brown 2028 Sqn
- Cdt Noppawee Wadee 2028 Sqn
- Cpl Luke Breen 495 Sqn
- Cdt Alex Jordan 479 Sqn
In a closely fought competition Central & East beat both Scotland & Northern Ireland and the North Region to reach the final which was played against South West Region who we beat 5 – 0 It was the first time that Central & East Region had won the trophy since 2004 and all 4 cadets from W & B Wing played their part. They received the trophy and their medals from The Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Barbara Cooper. Region Sports Blues where then presented to the cadets by The Region Commandant,Group Captain Morrell.

Corps Inter – Region Open-Age Netball Competition
The above competition took place on Sat.3 Dec 2011 at DCAE Cosford and 3 cadets from Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing were selected to represent Central & East Region. They were:
- Sgt Priya Virdi 8F Sqn.
- Sgt Holly Wheeldon 487DF
- Sgt Hazel Mann 2028 Sqn.
Central & East won all of their games comfortably apart from their match against Wales & West Region losing 9 - 6 which meant that they finished runners up in the competition. Once again all 3 of our cadets played their part. They also received their medals from the Commandant Air Cadets and their Regional Sports Blues from the Region Commandant. Sgt Priya Virdi was also selected to represent the Corps in February 2012 for which she will receive a Corps Blue.
