Air Cadet 70 ends in style at the National Indoor Arena
| Cadets from South and East Midlands Wing and Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing put on a Christmas performance (NOT a panto!) before 20,000 people at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena. An Air Cadet 70 performance at the Birmingham International Christmas Tattoo also involved cadets from all over the UK from the ATC National Fanfare Team and ATC National Marching Band, who joined the superb 126 (City of Derby) Squadron Rifle Drill Display Team in a precision continuity drill display and musical performance that really put the Air Cadets in the spotlight.
On a glittering weekend, the 126 (City of Derby ) Sqn Rifle Team met their rifle drill counterparts of the Norwegian Royal Guard Display Team and the Corps Notational Band were introduced to the Band of HM Royal Marines ( Plymouth ).
The cadets put their skills together to produce a display that was widely applauded by the assembled audience and VIPs. Well done to all the cadets involved. The Station Commander of RAF Cosford was full of praise for them for putting the Air Cadets and the RAF in such a good light and the ATC Regional Commandant (Central and East) Group Captain Brett Morrell also congratulated the cadets who had practised over many weeks to produce a flawless precision performance.
