In order to modernise and reflect in more detail the work undertaken by members of the Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing Training Team, that is to enable cadets and staff to take responsibility for their own learning, development and leadership, by facilitating, encouraging and bringing about a satisfactory learning outcome, OC Wing has agreed to a change of team name with immediate effect.

The title will now be Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing Learning & Development Team (L&DT). The title of the Wing Training Officer (WTO) will also change to reflect this and be known as the Learning & Development Officer (LADO).

The present members of the Learning & Development Team are drawn from a range of squadrons across the Wing with various experience levels in different areas that help to achieve the L&DTs objectives.

The Learning & Development Officer said “This is not just a name change for the sake of it, it is a genuine reflection of the modern delivery styles of Learning, Development & Leadership that the team facilitate within every course that is run. With the forthcoming changes to the Corps syllabus it is a good time to make the conversion”.
