"Music for All"

The first Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing Band Day, "Music for All" was held at Bramcote Barracks near Nuneaton on Sunday 28 th September.

Some 30 Cadets from four different Squadrons within the Wing attended this first Wing Band training session. The Cadets were split into two different tutor groups, Brass under the watchful eye of CI Amiee Easterlow of 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron and Percussion under WO Cave of 497 (Daventry) Squadron.

Flt Lt Ian Crewe Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing Bandmaster said, "This is a first for the Wing, the Cadets enjoyed the experience and the Staff applauded the effort put in by the Cadets on the day".

By the end of the session 12 Cadets were awarded Band Badges following recommendations from their instructors and Squadron Bandmasters.

Just a reminder that "Music for All" is open to all Cadets who wish to learn, not just those Squadrons with bands. Any cadet within the wing who has access to a musical instrument is welcome. Cadets have asked when we will be holding the next Wing Band Day. Watch this space for further details."
