GOOD NEWS! - There will be a slight change in the way the Staff Cadet Part 2 Courses are run in the future to include the Unit 6 Presentation from the BTEC First Diploma in Public Services workbook.

Each cadet has to make a 5-6 minute presentation during the course and this will not change, however every student will now have to complete their talk using the title:

“HOW DOES YOUR UNIT CONDUCT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN COMPARISON TO ANOTHER YOUTH ORGANISATION INCLUDING THE VALUE OF THOSE ACTIVITIES FOR TEAM BUILDING”

This will be assessed as usual by members of the training team who will be responsible for completion of the marking sheet VQF24 and the WTAPO will then submit this direct to CVQO.

Cadets may still use power point, OHP, whiteboard etc but must retain and hand to the assessors all their presentation notes which do not have to be neatly prepared. The application paperwork and course certificates will be amended to reflect this change.

This development will make a difference, relieving the workload of some units, especially if their cadets attending the Staff Part 2 Course are BTEC registered.

This Staff Cadet Part 2 Programme handout will be sent to each cadet via their Sqn Cdrs before each course.
