Another successful Staff Cadet Part 2 Course was held at HQ 163 Squadron / WHQ last weekend with cadets from across the Wing qualifying for their lanyards.

The course which included structure of the Corps, role of the Adjutant, role of the Training Officer, presentational techniques culminated in cadets giving a 10 minute presentation with feedback, this in turn qualified some of them for unit 6 of the CVQO.

Two officers from the Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire Wing Training Team also attended the course as observers. Flight Lieutenants Tim Chrichton and Iain Hutchinson with plans to take any elements of the course they found useful back to their Wing to begin Staff Cadet Part 2 courses there.

The Wing Training & Personnel Officer Squadron Leader Martin Harrison said "A useful course for cadets and they certainly leave with a greater understanding of the ACO generally than they came with. The standard of presentations on this occasion was also very high and the cadets had clearly put a lot of work into them"
